With centralized metadata management services, OCLS actively supports metadata consistency in the college libraries, with a particular emphasis on the development and maintenance of high-quality, shared records within the system. This work will be done in conjunction with a standing metadata committee.
Activities include:
- Management of bibliographic records and import profiles for priority electronic collections that do not have sufficient metadata for discovery in the Ex Libris Central Discovery Index (CDI) or in the Community Zone (CZ)
- Support for shared bibliographic records between colleges, including those outside the Page 1+ Network Zone
- Support for the CLO cataloguing program including CLO metadata standards, shared workflows and education opportunities
