CD-ROM Overview/Notes

Definition: A CD-ROM (Compact Disc/Read-Only Memory) is a form of pre-pressed optical disc that contains data, computers (with a disc drive) can read, but not re-write or erase.
The standards for an audio CD or DVD are distinct from a CD-ROM

Special notes:

If the CD-ROM contains cartographic material, follow the standard for Map

If the CD-ROM contains notated music, follow the standard for Notated Music

If the CD-ROM contains language material, follow the standard for Print Book

If the CD-ROM contains a computer file, follow the standard for Computer Software
